In replacing the u joints on the half shafts do you prefer the grease fittings type or the ones with out the fittings

Originals had no grease fittings. Replacements have grease fittings, and some consider them "weaker" because of the internal passages drilled to spread the grease. You can get original style no grease fitting U joints. For a chassis judge, the fittings stand out like a sore thumb. Chuck

if you put the grease fitting in compression not tension side when you install them there is no strength problem as we have use the ones with grease fitting in drag race corvettes with no problems.
