1982 Crossfire gas mileage

Can anyone with an 82 crossfire (stock) car tell me approximately what kind of gas mileage you get? Someone told me that his car gets 24 on the highway, but only 13 in the city. That just doesnt sound quite right. What do I need to look for when considering buying a "misfire" car?

You might be able to search the EPA web site for the original posted fuel mileage numbers. City 13 and highway 24 sounds like a pretty large spread, but with the tall gears and four speed auto, it might make close to that in highway driving.

Technology has come a long way since them. C5 Corvettes are rated at about 18/28, and on a long freeway cruise they actually do deliver high twenties.

Of course, city mileage varies a lot. If you drive like a granny you might achieve the EPA city numbers, but if you drive it like a sports car, you'll probably do much worse.
