    Mike-----

The tailshaft-mounted speedometer DRIVE gear is the same for all 71+ with manual transmission.

            See the book....

The '53-72 Corvette Parts Manual reproduced and available through the NCRS Merchandise Center ('Store' -- this site), has a nice series of tables defining speedo drive/driven gear specifics by color code, gear tooth count, Etc. for individual model years. After '72, you'll need to buy a later Corvette Parts Manual, visit Mr. Goodwrench (he's just down the street), or any AC/United Delco parts dealer in your neighborhood.
