There is a difference between a repro trim tag and original tags. I believe that the NCRS will have a new hands on method of judging these items in the near future.
Rumor is that Chevy-Craft in Lubock Tx. is closed.

Bill at ChevyCraft went broke/closed business, one or the other. Big auction to get rid of all the stuff after that. Where the VIN manufacturing equipment went is anybody's guess. Maybe he kept that stuff. I am not sure, but Bill may still be around Lubbock. He is a very interested guy. He actually had one of the 57 Chevy "Black Widow" cars found out in West Texas that he restored. Given the fact that this car has not "appeared" for a longtime, he may still have this car.

Try a "people search", you may get lucky.
