The use of any Blended refrigerant is not recommended because: As leakage occurs, one of the components leaks first.... You cannot "top off" the system now due to incorrect ratio of components. You would have to empty the entire system and re-fill.... NO shop will service anything except R-12 and R134a (pure,one component refrigerants) due to the recovery of the refrigerant require by law. The refrigerants cannot be mixed by law. So once you put anything other than R12 or R134a you're on your own. I found that R134a works as good as R12 in my stock 69 BUT you must find the corrct amount. R134a is VERY sensitive to over/under charging. Just a few onces over or under will make a huge difference in system performance.
