    1968 inner door weather stripping

I'm currently replacing the inner/outer felt weatherstrips on my 68 doors.
My original inner felt weatherstrip also had a v-shaped rubber seal between the felt and the metal piece that attaches to the door. Due to deterioration of my original rubber piece, I'm not sure of the correct installation of the rubber v-strip. Does the exposed top of the rubber v-strip angle toward the glass or the door panel. The AIM and the Chassis Service Manual only show the installation of the felt pieces. Thanks

I assume you are talking about the rubber strip that fills the gap to the door panel. Original pieces seldom contact the door panel fully as I assume the intent was for them to do. Ideally they should seal off to the panel laying upward or downward depending on the condition of the fit of the parts. A seal upwards looks better. The 68 seems to have a lot of variation in this area. Does that answer your question?
