    What is intake #3823481 (Alu)

What is this intake? It has a casting number of 3823481. It is an aluminum intake. It appears that the carburator flange is 4 barrel for WCFB. The intake is for a Chevy small block.
    Thank you,
    stano

None of my references show it either.

I know, I can't find that number either. We have a parts catalog for 1965,1966,1969, and thought maybe it might show up in group 3.265 there but nothing. Nothing in parts history either or removal list.
I have seen the intake and I remember it is stock chevrolet with casting number. I think snowflake. Aluminum. One other thing, it has (about) 1/4" threaded plugs on the top of intake runner about one inch back fron head flange. There are four of them on the four intake runners. It is single WCFB flange, so something prior 1965???
What do you think, somthing over the counter???
            Thank you stano

The last time (over a year ago) someone described a manifold like this, it eventually turned out to be some obscure marine engine application, if I remember correctly.

That makes sence. I think I'll go with that, possible marine intake. Thank you John.

I don't know what it is either. But I'm pretty sure aluminum would not be used for a marine application. An intake manifold sees coolant. In a marine application, the coolant is the raw water that the boat is used in. Salt water would do a job on aluminum pretty quickly.

most sea water engines use a water to water heat exchanger so the engine never sees sea water
