    Capacitor

I have what looks to be an amp gauge capacitor, part number is 1852715 DR 3MF. Can't find out its correct application. It looks just like the amp gauge capacitor in my 64', part number 1960959 except the black wire is approx. 1/2" longer. Any information on what this goes to would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Fred-----

GM #1852715 is the radio interference ignition coil capacitor applicable to most 62-75 Corvettes.

        Joe,

Thanks, never would have guessed it considering the type of connector at the end of the wire. It looks just like the same type made for to connect to the amp gauge.

            Fred--
It's not correct for 62---the coil one is 1947452, nor is it correct for any other location on a 62.

                Mike and Fred------

The GM #1852715 capacitor is not a correct, original part for a 1962 ignition coil application. In fact, as far as I know, I don't think that it's a correct, original part for any 63-75 application, either. It's a SERVICE part applicable to 62-75 Corvettes for the ignition coil RF condensor application. I did not understand the question to involve whether or not it was a correct, original part.
