Any good advice on how many times the dash pad to housing retainer clips can be reused (see post below: "Midyear Dash Pads")
As always, any sane comments are much appreciated. Even some insane ones would be good for a laugh.
I just completed the replacement of my dash pads on a 63. I was able to reuse most of the original clips. One of them broke and had to be replaced. I would think you could only get two uses out of the clips. I think they will start to break after that.

If you look down in the crease you will notice cracks in the clips that dont have much life left.I cant figure out why these pieces are so expensive. There is just no rational reason for it,but at least Long Island is only half the price of the ones mentioned earlier.LIs are $1.50as opposed to over $3.00 reported elsewhere!........Bill S

Thanks for the reply. I agree that the clips can probably be used only twice before they crack. Since my first post, I have found out that Al Knoch sells a set of 26 clips for $19.00 - a good investment, and much more reasonable than the sky high prices I have seen elsewhere. I will replace them all.
