There is another method that will show the numbers, if you heat the stamp pad area with a torch (Actelyene) to a red glow and let it cool down, the image of the stamp will appear on the area that was heated. It will not "Raise" to a measureable extent, but the numbers will be clearly visible on the surface of the cooled pad.

I was wonedering if you did this with intake on, and where do you apply the heat, ie..on the vertical portion or right on the pad. I am really interested in any details you might have. thanks
