I have conflicting dealers telling me what size trailer I can use ... what is the recommended length of enclosed trailer. I want it as short as possible.

Re: Trailering my '59
Paul, I was looking at this same issue for my 60 and decided that while the car would fit in a 18 foot trailer, it would be much easier to get the tiedowns on the car with a 20 foot trailer. On an open trailer the access is not a problem and a 16 foot trailer would be sufficient. John- Top

Re: Trailering my '59
Paul,
My 2 cents say go with the 20'. John is correct while it may fit into a 16' or 18' trailer it is dang hard to get it tied down in there. I have towed many race, multi-purpose trailers and I would go with the 20'. If you are going to buy new, the trailer dealer should let you load your car into a couple so you can make an educated purchase.
