I'm trying to locate the tank sticker on a 1982 Collector Edition Corvette. Were these cars prepared with one from the factory? I've been unable to successfully locate mine without removing the tank.

Remove the gas fill bezel and pull off the rubber boot surrounding the gas fill neck. You can, with a flashlight, see the left top of the gas tank for it. You have to drop the tank to get it. Other 82s copys have been found behind the dash at the speedo area, also under the seat tucked in the springs. I recently found a copy on a very low mileage 82 folded up and tucked into the strut rod bracket. -

thanks for the help. I've actually done just that, but couldn't see deep enough with my flashlight. I'm sure it's there, perhaps it got slapped on just out of view. I'll check the other places which you've mentioned in your reply.

Ricky, supposedly all '81 and up Bowling Green assembled Corvettes "build sheets" are on file with Chevrolet, which they say copies of your original build sheet can be bought through the Corvette Museum for like $25.00 If you can't find your original, you should be able to get a copy through them.Comment
