I was able to find the correct part numbers for my shocks, noted "Delco Products Dayton Ohio" to be stamped at the top, as well as the date of manufacture. On the present shocks I'm going to use, they have the word "bottom" encased by downward arrows near the bottom. Were these on the originals? Are there any other stampings that came from Delco that need to be added to be "correct"?
Thanks,
Ron

"Bottom" with an arrow was NOT on original shocks. "Made In USA" should appear as well as a part number. Thse shocks had a 3/8 shaft and are easily distingushed from standard shocks.

The rear shocks got a lot of paint as a rule but not the fronts. Black out was not very heavy near the engine because of the orange engine paint. I usually se daubs of blue on the ends of the front shocks.
