Re: Corvette Lingo - short block - long block. *TL*
Thanks as usual Joe, but now I need a definition for GMPP. It is not defined in my version of GM Abbreviations/Acronyms Manual. It does list GMPPMP which is General Motors Product Program Management Process.

GMPP are those SERVICE parts which are designed for high performance applications. Many of the parts available under the GMPP program were never used in PRODUCTION. Some are/were, though, and are still designated for inclusion in the GMPP program due to their general applicability to high performance usage in non-PRODUCTION applications.

John, GMPP (GM PERFORMANCE PARTS) in not in the GM Abbreviations/Acronyms listing because it is NOT a GM operation, division, or function within GM per se'. It is a TITLE of a publication. It would be liken to Mr. Goodwrench----which also is NOT in the GM Abbreviations/Acronyms listing----and is also a TITLE.
Hope this helps
