    1966 Corvette Shocks

I am about to get my '66 back on the road after a front suspension restoration. New springs, bushings, brakes, etc. I do not have any experience with Corvettes, and need to know which shock is advisble. The car is used for pleasure driving, no judging, but I desire the original look.
    Thanks All

Delco Reactecs: Delco #560-50 and 560-51. Paint these shock absorber gray and they'll be configured almost identical to the originals. Plus, they perform very well for a street car.

        Thanks Joe
Are these available only from AC Delco or are there other sources?

            Ronnie:

They are (were?) available from most of the familiar Corvette specialty suppliers ( Corvette Central, Zip, Paragon, Dr Rebuild, etc.) I purchased mine last year from Corvette Central and painted them "shock absorber grey" before I installed them.
There is a thread which appeared a few weeks ago, which mentioned that these shocks are no longer available--check that first.

The Delco Reactecs are still available, the venodrs will tell you they are not because they are selling another GM shock. I just received mine from GMPartsdirect.com, they were $30 plus shipping. If you need a GM part number, drop me a line.
