Instrument Cluster Resto.

I'm ready to have my 66 roadster instrument cluster restored. I was thinking of doing it myself but have plenty of other body work to do. This is an intricate job. I want a show quality resto. and was thinking of Corvette Specialties of Maryland but their price is $500 - 600. Does anyone have experience with Vintage Vette in Va. or others? Forget Clocks by xxxx. Too many bad experiences that I'm aware of.

I'm also considering outsourcing my wiper motor since it needs cad plated, but still might do this myself.

Dave: I found that a simple cleaning of the glass and CAREFUL cleaning of the guage faces made an unbelievable difference in the appearance of my cluster. Don't know how bad yours is but assuming everything is in working order, this is a pretty simple task compared to removing and reinstalling the cluster. Disassembly and cleaning of everything took me about an hour, once the unit was out of the car. If all the gauges work this is a pretty simple job - much easier than cluster removal from, or reinstallation into the car.
