...and I'm a bit chapped up about it. Everything's hooked up, got power and ground, no tunes. OK, who do I send this 1970 AM/FM paving brick of a radio to to get it working again? I see there's a few folks who fix them, but I want it done right. Thanks!

Re: My Radio Doesn't Work!!!
Jeremy, I have recently dealt with an individual who fixed my extremely ailing 61 Wonderbar radio. Believe me when I say "ailing". When I began my search for a reliable repairman someone recommended a man who lives on the West Coast, but unfortunatley I thought his price was somewhat high. By accident I found this fellow I used. He was selling NOS radio tubes on ebay and I started a conversation with him. He lives in Germany. Don't let the distance scare you. He charges a flat rate of $99 to fix a radio. I was extremely skeptical but, figured the only thing I had to lose was my radio and the $40 it cost me to ship. When it arrived he e-mailed me and gave me a breakdown of what was wrong and how long it will take to fix. Several weeks later it was underway to me and the shipping back was about $50. I installed the radio a few days ago, and truly this radio sounds just like it was made yesterday. The Wonderbar searches perfectly. The sound is so crisp. He did a fantastic job. i would think he would have no problem working on a 1970 model just as he did my 61 Wonderbar. If you are interested send him a e-mail and he will respond back promptly. If you have any questions feel free to contact me @ ccwilletts1@prodigy.net . Please use this e-mail address for this week only. You will not be disappointed with his work.

Re: My Radio Doesn't Work!!!
Jim: If the guy you are referring to is wonderbarman.com in Alamo, TN I sent him my '72 orig. stereo radio w/ multiplex for repair and he quoted $ 400. I thought that was out of line so I had him return it. Had the radio fixed perfectly by Downtown Radio here in Charlotte, NC for $100. !!?? Jeff Burkey- Top

Re: My Radio Doesn't Work!!!
Jeff,
I was referring to another person in the Northwest. My fellow in Germany did wonderful work, but it's great to know someone much closer can do the job. I live in Winston-Salem and noone around me works on these beauties. Thanks, Craig Willetts #36551- Top
