I am looking for someone to restore my corvette carbs. I have talked to many people about doing this for me but many of them just don't sound that great. Can anyone out there help me? If you have had your carbs done and received good work, please let me know! Thank you so much!

Re: Know anyone?
David Resheske, of "Dave's Corvette Restoration" in Clear Lake City, Texas restored my 1970 Rochester Q-jet a few years back. He did an excellent job. For a while I debated whether I should install it or keep it for display. I finally installed it and it runs great. He also has been restoring vacuum and headlamp actuators for years along with distributors, shifters, and other Corvette items. He really does an excellent job. I think his phone number is 281-488-7813.Tony- Top

Re: Know anyone?
Stacy - I had my Carter 3269s done by Jerry Luck, Hazelwood MO, (314) 895-1551. He does Holleys as well. He has the right machinery for resurfacing etc, and he runs each one on an engine. Unfortunately, I haven't yet had a chance to run it full out, but around my sleepy little village it works OK. I'm sure you'll get lots of responses. Good luck in your search! Dick- Top

Re: Know anyone?
Sure seems like it's the Jerry Luck fan club! He did my '71 Q-Jet as well as the '65 Holley for my friend Trevor Rogers (England). I can report both were SUPER out-of-the-box, bolt on, dialed in, ready to go jobs that took no deductions in Flight judging. Also, since I live in the foothills above Denver (7930 ft), I told Jerry and he scaled down jetting to 'optimize' for my environment without extra fee....- Top

Re: Know anyone?
Just as Jerry Luck appears to be the guru for Q-Jets and Holleys, I believe Bob Kunz in St. Louis is the guru for Carters; Bob rebuilt/restored the WCFB's on my '57 270 (which were a nightmare when I bought the car and had been rebuilt many times by people who obviously hadn't a clue what they were doing). When I got them back and bolted them on, all I had to do was set idle rpm - the mixture screws were dead-on. He does really nice work - advertises in the "Driveline", Hemmings, Vette Vues, etc. Would use him again in a minute!- Top
