    Re: clutch test

    Hi Duke,
I dumped the dexcool because I am trying everything thats not original to the motor, but changing one thing at a time to test the effect. IT ACTUALLY RUNS COOLER WITHOUT IT! go figure.

        Roberto,

I think mine might have been an isolated incident. In any event, I'd likely buy a restored or good condition original before I'd get the repro again, as there are visual differences between the two.

In my case, the upper radiator hose was noticed to be collapsing as well as the car cooled off. Once the cap was replaced the hose did fine and it never overheated (i.e. puked coolant, not a real temp change) again.

Some day when I get time I'll finish my article on radiator caps, too.
