Hey Jeff-If you enjoyed the old film footage, you'll enjoy a book by Peter J. Licastro entitled: "The Story of Corvette Production at the St.Louis Assembly Plant" A great story and great pictures-loved seeing where my C1 was built. Terry

            Terry/Jeff,

Peter Licastro's book is entitled "Birthplace of Legends", and is indeed a good read!

                    Jeff,

Licastro's book covers production at St. Louis until the plant closed and the Corvette line moved to Bowling Green. There are also some good production line photos in Noland Adams' Restoration Guides Volumes 1 and 2, but only for the early (up to 1967) cars.

My Classic car showed the GM press release video documenting the 1963 corvette prototypes. It shows all sorts of neat footage of the two cars being built. It's episode #026106. We actually bought a copy of that episode. ~Juliet
