I am doing a 283 for my 61. I installed the spacer on the crank and installed the crank balancer, the engine mount with gaskets, the water pump and pulleys.
The problem is the crank pulley is out too far. So I remove the crank spacer and the pulley is now too far in. I measured the spacer and it is the same thickness as the engine mount.
Has anyone had this problem before? It seems if I install a spacer 1/2 the thickness of the repo spacer it would be correct, but where do you get one?
