Early 63 Heater Box

OK all you guys with 63s. We are trying to determine the details of the 63 Heater Box. This is the box that is under the hood on the RH firewall that the fan motor is mounted on. It seems that there is more than one style. The later style observed on later cars in the 15000 number range have little triangular ribs for reinforcement of the flange. The earlier ones do not have this feature. Please look at your car if you think that it is the original box and report which type you have and the approximate serial number. Look at the flange in the area that bolts to the firewall. Look for several little vertical triangular reinforcements along the radius of the flange. Thanks

My 63 is a 4300 series car built on 12-6-62. I beleive it is the original
as it looks as though it has never been removed and it does NOT have any
reinforcement gussets as the later models do.

None on 10943 3-19-63. I have a recollection from previous discussions that '63 heater plenum covers may also have some different geometry in the vicinity of the heater core nipple holes.

My 63 VIN 108307 Feb 63 has no triangular ribs. It bares the following numbers inside the cover: embossed is "P/N 3156854". Stamped in smaller green ink: "Sep 11 62 NB200". Stamped in much larger white ink and not completely clear: "GM-06-63B"

My low milage original march production (#11285 or thereabouts) does not have the triangular reenforcements. It does have the heater hose outlet reenforcement, unlike early production.
