Does GM, or anybody, sell connectors for splicing the fiber optic cables used in this car.(similar to those used in the electronics industry). Thanks for any help

Corvette Central, (and maybe others) sell a fiberoptic repair kit which consists of the boot, and a strand of cable. I've never bought one, but have seen it in their catalog. I was able to patch mine up and got it working. Hope this helps. Chuck Gongloff1963 Corvette Conv. 327/360 NCRS Top Flight

You can probably come as close to the results of a 'pro' splice kit on your own. Need to cut ends of fiber smoothly and perpendicular (minimize light scattering). Find/fabricate a small OD ferrule whose ID agrees with that of naked fiber bundle and is shinny/reflective on the inside.
Mix a small qty of epoxy to act as fill/retainer. Insert the two ends of the broken fiber into the ferrule until they abut and let the expoxy setup....Comment
