In an attempt to salvage a very nice 350 hp oil pan that was badly pitted but unbent I asked my powdercoater to build up a few layers and smooth it out. This worked very well and should provide a good base for correct paint BUT he coated the inside also.
I am concerned about the powder delaminating and ending up in the oil pump.
Is my concern valid or will I be spending sleepless nights for naught.
All suggestions sincerely appreciated

I wouldn't worry about it one bit. Many GM oil pans are powder-coated in PRODUCTION and SERVICE and the coating is applied both internally and externally. This includes the big block oil pan, GM #14091356, the 75-79 Z-28/L-82 oil pan, GM #360450, and most, if not all, of the C4 oil pans.
