I recently purchased a used backup switch and bracket for my 65 coupe. According to corvette centrals catolgue there is only one that fits 64 to 67. This one has on the end of the wire that goes up to the wiring harness by the wiper motor a round plug with two electrical spades at 90 degrees to each other. The plug on my car has two spades but they are at 45 degrees to each other and the plug is not round. Can any one tell me what this one is for or if it is for a different year. The package it came in was marked 64-67.
Thanks in advance.
Sheldon
The same switch was used on Pass car and Trucks with different connections and sometimes wire colors. What you have is a functional replacement (assuming you change the connector to match yours) as oppodes to a true NOS original item.

The plug should be an "L" shaped plastic plug . 90 degree . The repos are the same shape plug but the wire color coding is WRONG! Look them up on e-bay for a picture of what is presently available. Your 65 has wires that are basically black with a color stripe that is green on one side and pink on the other. Right? That is the way it is on mine.
