I have just purchased a project car and really need to make some garage space available, sooooo....I guess I am going to sell my 72 LT1 Coupe. Can anyone help me come up with a fair price for the car? I see them advertised from $15K to $30K and I'd just like to figure out what is reasonable so I can sell within the next couple of months. The details are: 72 LT1 coupe, mint original paint and interior, 35,000 miles, PS, PB, PW, Tilt, RWD, Elkhart green with tan leather, factory 4.11 posi. Stored since 1978. Underhood and undercarriage detailed but not with correct finishes/colors. I know this is tough to do without seeing the car, but any direction would really be appreciated. Thanks, Mark.

Re: 72 LT1 Pricing
Mark, it sounds like you have a nice original car. The value on LT-1's are going up, primarily because of the desire for "anything solid lifter". The value will be based on 1) documentation (the more the better); condition of hit or no-hit body; presence or lack of frame rust; and drivetrain condition. Your car does have a couple of extras in the leather, power accessories, and 4:11 rear. Without seeing your car I would believe your "range" would be high 'teens on the low side, and mid-twenties on the high side. I hope this helps.- Top

Thanks Jeff!
Thanks Jeff! After 70 plus people viewed my message and no response I had lost hope that someone would help me out. The car is very nice and has actually only travelled 1,500 miles in the past 21 years. Also, it is a Canadian car and as such has GM documentation verifying options etc. I hate to sell it but I am about to start a frame-off resto and need the space. I like your numbers! Frankly, I'd be happy with $17,500! (US of course). Thanks again, Mark.- Top

Re: mark
JC, I'm switching gears a little and going back to the car of my high school days...a Camaro. I bought a '67 RS Z28. They only made 602 of these cars in 1967 and there are less than 140 known to exist. This is one of only 2 red on red cars left and the body is absolutely perfect. Mind you, the Nevada sun has given it quite a baking inside! I really like working on cars and the LT1 is so nice it really just needs to be re-detailed underhood and then shown. So there is not much to do to it. It has the nicest original paint I have ever seen on a bow tie car. Believe me, selling it is not an easy decision. Mark- Top
