Question for the judges out there.
In sifting through the old parts boxes I got with my 67, I found out that the previous owner bought new sunvisors in 1994 and put the old ones in a box. I'm not sure why since they are in great shape. In looking at them I do see a couple of differences: The old ones have a much coarser thread seam (the distance between the stiches is larger) along the edges and the distance from the seam to the edge is larger as compared to the new one (ie the piping looks wider). Also the metal tabs near the mounts on the old ones look to be chrome and on the new ones are more dull (more of a brushed look).
Looking at the box, I am guessing that the new ones are repros. Were the 67 sunvisors available from GM in 1994? Do the old ones sound like they are the originals? Thanks!
