1963 Overheating Problem

I thought my '63 was overheating because I believed my temp guage. The block and radiator did not feel hot but the guage read high. I discovered that you MUST use the original sending unit (AC 1513321) for years 1963 and 1964 or your guage will overstate temperature. The part is expensive ($75) but cheaper than high blood pressure.
