    C1 Window drip seal installation?

    I am starting to assemble the doors on my 56. I have new drip seals for the windows. I know that they go between the bottom rail and window glass. Can someone tell me how to orient them?

    There is lip that will extend either inwards? or outwards? from the glass. This lip has a notch cut out of it. Does the notch go toward the front or back of the car?

    I don't see any of this in the aim and it is not immediately obvious (to me) which way they go. Since there are 4 ways that they can be installed, I calculate that there is about a 0.05% chance that I will get them right the first time.

    thanks

    Dave;
    I just installed those seals on my '61. The seals I got didn't have the cutout at the end, I have yet to figure that out. I can tell you that the seal flap goes toward the exterior of the door. Good luck, John.

        Dave,
        The notched end goes up front. The shorter extra channel goes to the outside to catch and direct water running down the glass. Page 127 of my catalog shows this item. The enlarged view featuring this part is the LEFT drivers side. If you got this part from me, it is a handsome replica - if I must say so. I will add a note in future catalogs to assist ID.

        John,
        If yours are without a notch you got some other part that is probably generic.
