Just installed two new GM out of the box parking light assemblies for a 66. These are still available from GM. Both new light assemblies had bad internal grounds and would not work. If you are planning to get new assemblies, take a VOM with you to the dealer and check the white lead to the case ground before you leave. Some dealers are reluctant to take back electrical parts after they leave the store.
