    Glovebox lock

Assuming it's in the 'unlocked' position, can the glovebox lock be removed without the key?

    Thanks!

You don't say what year car you are asking about?

Grant - I trust you are referring to removing the lock core from the case. There's a opening or small slot in the front of the case that allows you to release the locking tumbler-like piece, use a small screw driver or dental tool and push the locking piece in, it's spring loaded. The core can then be removed out the front of the case. BTW, I suggest, if you haven't already, that you removed the glovebox lock case from the door. The Phillips head screw at the back will remove the holder and then you can remove the case. Have fun. Pete
