    '68 dash reassembly?

Any suggestions on the best way to reassemble the left, right and center dash on a '68? It's completely out now, I'm wondering if its' best to start with the center and then do the left and right sides. Looks like a formidable array of wires to deal with, any suggestions would sure be appreciated!

I would do the center instument cluster first, the drivers dash, and then the easy one, the right side.

        Robert:

When I did mine last winter, I started on the drivers side to make sure that the wire harness was in the right place, then worked my way to the center and lastly the passengerside. I thought it was easier with the steering wheel off and the seats out. That gives you more room to work upside down.

Good luck it is quite a tedious job.

            Hi Robert,

don't worry about the wires. You can't connect them wrong (the plugs are coded).
Be sure to fix the oil pressure hose (small clear or black plastic hose)really tight. It's a mess if it is leaking when the dash is completed and the engine will run for the first time. Pay attention!

The single red wire should be connected to the clock.
The grey wires belong to the illumination of the dash board. Connect them related to the length of the wires.

            Hope it helps
