Do the main starter bolts that go into the block have washers on them either lock or regular. Thanks Mike

The bolts are special bolts with knurled shanks, and flanged heads. They are installed sans washers.

Yes, and it's critical that these special bolts be used. For a 1965 Corvette, there are two different length bolts used. The short one is 3/8 X 1-27/32" and is currently available under GM #14097279. The long one is 3/8 X 4-21/32" and is currently available under GM #14097278.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
