I reported it to eBay also. I reported a similar auction (of a title) some months back and they shut that one down quickly.

Beyond eBay

I noticed that the VIN/title auction is still rolling along this morning. I had reported it to eBay too. I'm not sure why they're dragging their feet on stopping it.

I really want some PA state trooper to seize the title for a "Salvage" brand. That's not a permanent way to prevent this VIN from reappearing on the street someday, but it's a good legal step in that direction. I wonder if phone calls from several of us would inspire the troopers near York, PA, to act?

York is actually where I lived in PA. I don't know any troopers in town there, but they have an outpost on the NW side of town. I only had to visit the neighboring building for driver's license renewal, though. I don't know the seller, either, to the best of my knowledge.
