On my '65 roadster, the door glass slides in the stainless steel channel that it sits in. How is it supposed to be held in position, and is it easy to tell the correct position to secure it in?
The glass is set in a ruberized setting tape that holds it in place. This is available at most glass shops in various thickness. Actually strip cut from a tire tube works quite well. You want to push the glass forward in the front channel till it slides against the bottom of the channel felt. This pushes the rear guide at the lower rear of the window into the rear channel. Leave just enough room for the glass to travel without binding.
