I am having trouble with ignition ... no juice whatsoever to the starter. when I hotwire the wires coming out of the ignition switch (new from CC)I get spark, which indicates that the ignition switch is faulty. Can it be repaired or do I need to replace the entire switch?

Re: Ignition switch-'59
Paul, My experience is that reproduction ignition switches are not real good. Even the bezel nuts don't screw on very well. I went through the same thing with the 59 and then decided to find an NOS switch. Good used or NOS switches will work quite well and are fairly easy to find.- Top

Re: Ignition switch-'59
Ditto Dave's comment. The first repro ignition switch for my '58 was faulty, but the second (also a repro) was fine. The bad part was the amount of time it took to figure out that my problem was not in my wiring, but in a brand new component.- Top
