The Horn relay on my 66 Coupe appears to be original. It has the correct Delco Remy stampings and the semi clear plastic boot described in the judging manual. However, there is no obvious part number stamped into the relay. The manual indicates the part number is 1115837, but the only number I can find are three digits - 837 - stamped into the base of the relay behind the plastic boot. It's been painted black, but otherwise appears to be in pretty good condition. Is this the correct part? Also can anyone tell me if there's a procedure for testing the relay? The horns are intermittent, and I can't tell if it's a bad horn or bad relay. Thanks

Re: 66 Horn Relay
John - The 837 stamped on the base is what you're looking for. The last 3 digits of the part number are on many of the Delco-Remy parts rather than all the digits. I'd expect you should be able to jump across the relay to test the horns and trouble shoot from there. Pete- Top
