How do you remove rust stains on the underside of a corvette body, I want to get the natural look back.68 car.

I don't have a surefire answer, but I think I'd try Bon Ami cleanser with a damp brush (Bon Ami is sold in supermarkets where you'd find Ajax and other similar kitchen cleansers, but Bon Ami is much less abrasive). "Bartender's Helper" (or is it "Barkeeper's Helper"?) is another similar product. I'm guessing that rust stains are probably tiny particles of rusty metal embedded in the surface, so you might also try Naval Jelly to see if that takes any of it off.

Here's another possibility. In a book on cleaning, I found a recommendation for removing rust stains from cloth fabrics. make a paste of salt and vinegar, apply and let stand 30 minutes, wash off. Try the same with a paste of salt and lemon juice.

Wayne is right. Go to the kitchen and mix salad oil and vingar. Apply it with a brush.

On one of my cars some parts have rusted a bit, and drooled a bit.
All this talk about food products, Huummm, I 'm HUNGRY...
I don't clean, so No dishes for me..I'll give it a shot..
