    '56 Heads for 210 HP

What is the correct part number for the heads on my '56 210 horsepower engine. Thanks.

    Steve-----

The CASTING number for your original heads was GM #3725306. This is the only number which is, for all practical purposes, relevent. The actual PART number for the heads would only be found on the box that the SERVICE heads were once-upon-a-time supplied in. However, if you're interested in that number, it was GM #3729785.

The above heads were used with exhaust manifolds with a 2 bolt flange.

Hmmm? Just a though. Two bolt manifolds came on early 1956 cars. The 1956 2x4 225hp engine was the early motor. The 1x4 210 hp motor was introduced at some time later. About 28 May 1956. Hence , I would suggest that NO 210 hp motor had a two bolt exhaust manifold. See page 127 Noland Adams Restoration & Technical Guide - Vol 1.
2nd design exhaust manifold # 3731557 Left and 3731558 right.
I know that the NCRS Corvette Specification guide does note that head #3725308 was used on "all 210 & early 225 hp with 2-bolt Exhaust manifolds" . The phrase quoted means that that head was used on 210 hp cars. It also means that 225hp cars that used the same head were early cars which used the two bolt exhaust manifold. It does not mean that there was a 210hp car with two bolt exhaust manifolds.
