    Front Stablizer bar

While under my 71 LS5, again, I note that the LH side link bolt to my front stablizer bar is very loose and the rubber bushings very bad. The bushings around the middle of stablizer appear ok. Should I change all at once? What is the best type to use? It appears pretty easy to change?

    Ed,
Decide if originality and judging are on your agenda or if driving is your main goal.
For driving get a pair of Chevrolet #10221779 stabilizer bar end links - less than $10 each. Compare the center spacer to the one on your Corvette - You may have to trim the center spacer to make the length the same. These are urethane end links and will in no way fool the judges, but they are far superior to what was put on your car 30 years ago. If the frame to bar bushings look OK leave them be.
For judging you should find the center bolt with fine (SAE) threads and a WB head mark. The center spacer should have the letter K or C stamped in it. The washers will have a hex indent in the center. And get black rubber insulators. Some of these parts can be purchased from Chevrolet, but I don't have the part numbers handy. I am sure others will help provide them if you indicate judging is your priority.
