Attached to the seat back springs I found three tags 2 on one and
one on the other. The two that are the same seem to be canvas about
1 1/4" X 4 1/8" with a 1/8 steel eyelet. The eyelet has a raised paper?
tag around it that says Dennison MFG CO USA. A hog ring attaches tags
to spring through the steel eyelet. Also on the tags these #s
Seat 1 3725148 13
B/P 10.31.55 2.3 56160 C2
McInerney Spring & Wire Co. -G
Seat 2 3725148 13
B/P 10.26.55 1.27 56160 B1
McInerney Spring & Wire Co. -G
The third tag is oblong maybe paper? & reads SHIFT1
I think I got the part # on the top line.
Build date spg. oz. & ? 2nd line.
And the third tag being SHIFT1 built 1st shift.
These tags are in great shape and easy to read although, they have a
bit of black spray paint on them. I figured they may have been
installed when the car was restored in 85 but I can't seem to find
any seat spg. tags in my lbs. of catalogs.Does anyone know of aftermarket
seat tags or originals for that matter matching the description?
Any thoughts appreciated, Rob.
