    Part number for Striker-Header Lock

The current part number for this part removed from my early 1968 convertible is #3926377. It is badly damaged and I am going to replace it with a part from Paragon. The part I got from Paragon is # 3934909 which agrees with the AIM UPC 1, E10. The parts are quite a bit different. Is the current part on my car correct, or the AIM/Paragon part number.

    Thank you for the help.

    John------

Although the edition of the AIM which is in current circulation does not indicate so, the GM #3926377 striker assembly was used for all, or at least most, 1968 Corvette convertibles. The GM #3934909 striker may have been used for later 68s but, generally, it was first used for the 1969 model year and then used through the 1975 model year.

In December, 1971 the GM #3926377 striker was discontinued from SERVICE and was replaced by the GM #3934909.
