Don't knock it till you've tried it. If really clean, bare rubber is what you are looking for try a test, clean them with Westleys then clean a small section of the same area with Lacquer thinner, look at your rag

Try Desolvsit. Found in the laundry section of a grocery store.
It removes grease from cloths, hands and parts very quickly with very small application.
