1957 F.I. Thermostat Housing Correct Number

Can anyone tell me if #3837223 is a good Thermostat Housing number for a 1957 Fuel injected early car? If not, what is the correct number and what would this number mentioned above be for?

Stubby, 3837223 is a good number for the housing. SACE believes there were four versons of the aluminum 3837223 housing, all very similar but with slight differences. The 1st verson which would correspond with your early '57 F.I., had the part # located on the left side of the housing, the neck was thin and the base was solid.
