    I believe that it changed from the circular disc to the direct stamping for the 1968 model year. There may have been some "transitional" use during the 67-68 period, though. As far as I know, there was never a Corvette Q-Jet that used the circular disc ID tag. Corvette Q-Jet usage first occurred, of course, for 1968.
