my source lists the 68 production S400001 to S428566. total 28,566 sept 400905,oct 403410,nov 405682,dec 407922,jan 410386, feb 412647, mar 415000, april 417676, may 420928, june 423978, july 428566. these are end of the month #s i can not vouch for the source but it is all i have clem

There is a digit missing in the VIN you have given. All have 6 numbers following the "S." 1968 production began in August 1967 and all start with a "4" followed by five other numerals.
