    Export C4's

    Hello all,

I've started a website devoted to C4 Export Corvettes (www.rivium.com/hkroeze/91vette).

Not known to many Corvette enthousiasts, the Export Corvettes have quite some special parts installed in BG to be legal for sale in their destination country.
I have started to investingate these 'special parts' and am using the website as a site to exchange information I've found.

If you know of anyone who owns an Export or is studying these Vettes as well, please tell me!

    Thanks,

    Henri Kroeze

All of the special components used for exported C4s can be found in the Corvette Parts and Accesories Catalog. At the end of or within any parts group which contained special parts used on export cars will be a section identified by:

    *********************************EXPORT*********** ******************************

Within the "export" section of the parts group will be identified the parts applicable to certain codes. The codes will identify which country (or group of countries) that the parts are applicable to. Generally, export-only parts cannot be obtained through GMSPO channels within the US.

You might also (if you haven't already) want to contact Vito Cimilluca who is the C4 team leader getting things in order for the eventual NCRS C4 judging. VitoVett@aol.com I'm sure he'd appreciate knowing about other C4 research going on. ~Juliet

            Hello Joe,

Thanks for this info. Is such a catalog available to the 'public'? Should I contact GM or a vendor for it?

Printed catalogs ceased to be produced in 1993 and are not available from GM or new publication vendors. However, these catalogs turn up on eBay fairly often. They may also be available from used automotive book dealers.
