    spark plug wires

Anyone know the correct length for plug wires for a mid year small block (I'm really asking which wire goes where). I've always just guesed at it, would be nice to get it right the first time just once.

Wire length vs. cylinder table is EITHER defined in your AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) or stated on a flysheet in the AC-Delco box with replacement plug wire sets.... Try your AIM first! Why they don't number annotate the wires is beyond me....

I just replaced the original spark plug wires on my sisters Formula Firebird recently and they were numbered wires. The new Delco wires that were put on did not have the numbering. By the way, a mechanic told her rats had been nibbling on her spark plug wires and showed her "a" spark plug wire that she thought came from her car. She declined their service. I didn't find one plug wire that even had a nip bitten out of it. She lives 6 hours away in Fort Smith,AR.
