1966 seat belt removal

I want to remove both my seat belt buckles from the floor for restoration as the original silver is wearing. Do I just move the seats forward and unbolt or is ther more to it?

You've got the right idea. The problem that I ran into was stripping the female hex insert on the outboard driver's side. I eventually had to take a Dremel tool and create a square head from the original round head, that I could then get a open end wrench onto. The nut on the inboard sides came off easily using a 6-point socket.

I just wanted to make sure as I had another 66 and I could not get the inboard sides off at all!
