    61 Amp. gauge

I just re-installed my gauge cluster, every thing working well except my amp. gauge. At rest its reading zero, when you turn on the lights it slightly moves to the left which is normal. When start the car it jumps to 30, at idle its back to 0.The batt. is one year old and freshly charged. This gauge was working fine before I put the car away for winter. Is the cap faulty, did I hook-up wires wrong (I used the AIM) or is the voltage regulator bad?? Peter

Re: Error(s) in AIM(s) re: Amp Gage

        Peter:

Ammeter gage wiring as depicted in the 1958-61 AIMs and service diagrams was published in reverse, and didn't get corrected until 1962! Hope this helps...
